I’m Hannah, the heart and hands behind Bright Moon Photography.

Motherhood transformed everything for me. My children became the center of my universe, and when I look at photographs from their earliest days, those images carry me through life's most challenging moments. 

The first birth I had the honor to photograph changed my life forever. For weeks afterward, I felt electrified by what I had witnessed. Watching my friend move through the intensity of labor, capturing frame by frame as her hands instinctively reached for her baby boy—it was absolutely breathtaking. In that moment, I knew I had found my calling.

Since then, I've been privileged to witness an incredible spectrum of birth experiences. From preparing a meal in a family's kitchen when a laboring mom needed an energy boost, to offering words of comfort during an unexpected complication in a hospital delivery, to documenting the serenity of a mother so peaceful during labor that only the slight movement of her finger revealed each contraction during her perfect home birth.

We mothers carry our birth stories with us forever—sharing them with friends, our children, sometimes even strangers. These stories matter because they changed us at our core. Your story deserves to be honored and preserved with the same reverence.
