How does a Birth Story work?

 

First, we'll meet for coffee and chat about your dreams for your birth! When you're ready, I'll take a $300 deposit that reserves your due date, and the rest of the $1200 investment is due at 38 weeks. From there:

  • I go on-call from 38 weeks until delivery, however long that might be

  • I ask for a message when you know labor has started, and I will come meet you for continuous coverage from active labor (approx. 5–6 cm) through 1–2 hours after birth

  • Sneak peek within 24 hours

  • 100+ hand-edited, high-resolution images will be delivered to you in a private, online gallery

  • Birth story gallery delivered within 3 weeks

 

What if you can't get to my birth?

It's rare for me to miss a birth, but if something comes up and I am unable to attend, I do have a back up photographer that is available to step in.

I like to be notified as soon as you start feeling contractions. If they do not convert to labor, no worries! I'll keep checking on you! That early alert helps me make arrangements for myself and my kids so I can get to you ASAP.

But, if you go from 5-10 cm before I arrive, I will be there for a couple hours after birth, and will come back within 48 hours to photograph your new family dynamics. 

What if I want a maternity or newborn session added on?

I absolutely do have packages for adding on a maternity or newborn session, or both to your Birth Story! Please let me know in the contact form!

When should I book a Birth Story?

Any time in your second trimester is ideal! 

I can only take a limited number of births each month, so the earlier you contact me, the better chance you have to claim your birth month!

*Maternity Sessions are best between 32-35 weeks in case you want to have these precious images included with your story!
